I am working on ideas for research relating to common beliefs between Peoples Temple/Jonestown and Children of God, and similar groups, especially in the shared belief in revolutionary group suicide held by both the Peoples Temple (Jonestown) and Children of God leadership. Want to learn more of the Children of God's belief in revolutionary suicide, and in other shared beliefs. This belief would have been more common in the 1960's/1970's with origins in the utopian and radical civil rights movement stemming from liberation theology, and may be little known today. Also, interested in other shared beliefs between CoG, PT (Peoples Temple), Synanon, Way, and other groups that you may believe existed. (This just now brings to mind Ricky Rodriguez and his possible knowledge of obscure CoG original doctrine, suicide as a revolutionary statement, although I am interested in church group doctrine, not specifically Ricky).
