Berg's goals was to live forever in the luxury that resulted from his formula to con the world.
You know, Passing by, you're bit confusing how things are & the way you perceive them as to be...there could be many times a bit of a gap there...you don't seem to me to be a convinced sceptical??!!, otherwise you would sound a bit more sceptical ; ) about what you portray to be the "absolute truth"
If you look for the square root of 4 within the set of Z (negative & positive integers ) you get two possibilities 2 & minus 2 as you well know, I am sure, so the solution is not "single"...therefore to interpret data, when there's more than a single possibility, becomes a bit touchy at times...think of light as a wave or photon...therefore I "love" optical delusions...
Now what you wrote above is not a quote from his letters, neither a quote of his followers, but a
statement of you??,one of the "defectors"(here's my praise for you & others, manifold said on the boards)...now have you been in the inner circle, then good, that you have this detailed information...then, please share what you can, post as much as you have time.
If you happened to be at grassrootlevel, like I was, then this is a conclusion of yours...could be true, but it's not the single possible conclusion.
Also, luxury is relative, & as I already mentioned in another thread, Berg lamented, that he didn't have a boat like the founder of scientology...& a big boat plus crew costs a lot, doesn't it?...the desire was there, but not the means apparently. So Berg was living in relative luxury...however all his villas he had (rented!!!!???) were also pretty crowded, not all the rich on earth would have liked to swap with Berg.
I too live comparatively in great luxury, if you take the shanties in all the poor areas of the earth to measure against, yet I live substandard, compared with the normal Germans...so what is luxury for you?Pls. define it...it happens to be relative, I suppose.
In other threads, I gave my opinion that he deceived the public & also the followers...later I learned, got reminded, that he had another reason to flee America & therefore lied first about his real reason to split...may be he was a "multiple personality"...some dreams resulted from his Bibleknowledge, others were fairly/very mundane.
As I happened to have read about other people who got deceived in life,"prophets" etc., I believe he was deceived himself & also deceived strongly others...he was a bad "relay-station"...so to speak...just my opinion.
I do think he felt some obligation about doing something "for the world"...the lost...so luxury was never viewed of him as the only & primary goal in life...if you see him so luxury-addicted, then he should have had a similar fleet as the ridiculous one of Osho or Rajneesh or whatever...can you try to see my point? He said many times how he loved to walk, the rich idiots can't even walk to the shop around the corner.I don't know, may be he was just unsuccessful in being very luxurious, but you make it sound as if your conclusion is the only compelling one??!!After TF I (re)developed a "nervousness" for too bold claims...sorry, your's is too bold for my liking and without any quotes/substance to prove it...and you're blaming me??????
