The other links you found in the pubs databases are pretty much along the same lines as what I've found so far. But the link to the Newsweek article is very helpful because at least it verifies the event happened.
It is possible that I'm using the wrong search terms to find the quotation, or perhaps the exact wording of Berg's curse was never published, but merely referred to, or it was purged later. But I do have a faint memory of reading more of a discussion about that event, Berg's curse and the resulting air disaster, than what we've found so far.
I'm going to keep searching, but perhaps someone else reading this will remember where the actual curse might be found. If so, please post info here. Thanks.
