Farmer, I'd just say ta ya that life today is probably a lot easier for me than it is for you. I am pretty satisfied with my family connections including the children and grandchildren from my spouse's side of the family.
The empty nest thing happened years ago for me, and I didn't grieve my parents like I am sure that you did and still are doing, with one so disabled and having been so close to them.
I hope you get the chance to travel and revisit places you loved, getting to see them without being part of a cult. I've often wanted to see Germany and Switzerland again, but in leisure. I doubt I'll ever manage that and I'll be fine if I don't. Nevertheless, thanks so much for the welcome to drop by, in case I ever can! I have to admit that my first desire would be closer to home. I'd love to go to Cancun because I love the ocean, the warm weather and the beaches, stars, nature in general.
