It'll be strange not having that one constant on the cyber landscape. NDN has served as a useful gathering place for the ex-member community, a place for the exchange of information. No matter what opinions about more-exer-than-thou have surfaced on this site, a lot of good has come out of NDN, and a lot of people have been helped along the road to exit and recovery--help that may never have come through our more intolerant crowd.
Over the years we may have had our occasional differences, but I always appreciated your integrity, upfrontness, reliability, professionalism and a certain emotional detachment you brought into the picture. You helped set better standards for the way things were done in this community, and brought a lot of rational sensibility into the mix. I want to thank you personally for your helpfulfulness when it came to behind-the-scenes inter-site cooperation and your concerns for our well-being and survival as an ex-member site.
Ex-members like myself may once have thought of you as giving TF and those CM friends of yours too much leeway, for going too far and believing in them for too long, but I appreciate that that goes with your character. I have come to understand how important loyalty is to you, that you prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, and you are slow to jump on the bandwagon of criticism. By the time you had realized where TF was really at, you had fully examined the details, were fully convinced, and you became a strong voice and influence for exposing TF spin. I've always said that you were one of the greatest losses for TF.
I am curious about the FM who started NDN. What has become of him?
I wish you the best and hope things will turn for the better with your family business.
