I find it intriguing that some people here still think that Ricky's action was due to some weakness in his own nature. Somehow they fail to understand that he was a victim pushed to that point by his victimizers, his own mother and other participating cult members. How can they think that way with the years of evidence? I wonder how much more they deny and why, and if I should pity them or ignore them. The level of participation of all of us who witnessed from afar, in silence, should be enough to shame us. I know I am ashamed for my own silence and chastise myself for that.
But those who were close and were silent, those who were close and are still silent, shame on them too.
And may God chastise them for that.
