It is no wonder that Rick had a meltdown. I'd say the core of the blame goes to his mother, Karen Zerby, and to David Berg and those who molested him or participated in his molestation.
The tree of the family has a very very rotten core. You're a smart man, James. Can you understand how a rotten tree produces sick fruit?
With nuturing and care, any that detach can recover, but some are scarred so deeply that without enough help and even with it, there are tragic results.
Rick was not influenced by others to do what he did. He reacted as a product of what so much of what his environment had been. Could it have been prevented? Possibly. Did he make a choice to go that route? In part.
Somehow, logic seems to have escaped you. The only way I see logic escaping a peron is if a person is enveloped in the Cult, then their thinking is a result of feeding off the rotten core. Led by the rotten (rhymes with core..)= Karen Zerby.
I hope soon that LAW will intervene in an international level to put her where she belongs. In an orange jumpsuit, cleaning toilets with toothbrushes and as someones little beatch.
Don't know if it will ever happen, but I hope it will. Same for Peter and known pedophiles within, that still hide within the group and outside of the Law.
