So we live with things the "way they are" and never strive to make them "the way they should be?" If we all had that attitude, our planet is doomed.
I'm curious as to what in your opinion is "proper amends?" The re-paying tax idea is a bit unrealistic. Obviously most people who leave don't have much $, at least to begin with. So other than a formal apology, and a daily struggle trying to make up for the past and reconcile with ALL their children, what else??? What happens after they have "taken a good look at the character defects that led them to make bad choices?" We can't change the past. But let's face it, in order to be a good productive "systemite", you have to be able to WORK, and work with confidence that eveything your doing is not in vain.
We are talking about here some FGA's who are actively trying to "clean their side of the steet." If we make it virtually impossible for them to do so, I don't think many others will follow.
