When you are a first generation the importance of moving on involves not only your life and your future, but perhaps that of your large family and their children as well. When there are large obstacles that you face each time to try to "move on" in any direction on the Internet, it can be discouraging, but not only for the first generation, but for their second generation adult children who want to see you make a new life for yourselves.
One reason you want so badly to make a new life, and make a worthwhile life is to make up for the past, make it easier for your children and grandchildren, and clear the way for them to have freedom to accomplish all they can without the regrets that we all have. Our lives are so closely knit with our children and future generations. I'd hope that we can move as far on as we can so that our children and their children don't have so far to go.
I don't know exactly how to confirm that people are sincere about their remorse. I believe if you have left, it's difficult not to be.
