Not that these sites are courts of law or anything, but I would say the best thing is for them to confront the problem head on, and come and clear their name. They do have something to answer for publicly, especially if they were leaders. Not that it is the place of ex-members to judge them or anything, but the burden is on them to do something to clear up a notoriety they created for themselves.
It is tricky though, as some people might say anything just to get their name off the sites, when they aren't really remorseful about their deeds. And then questions beg to be answered: why do we need remorse, is remorse enough, how do we judge remorse, and who gets to judge remorse?
And I'm sure once we open the doors, we'll get people pretending to leave TF trying to clear their name; those who 'leave' but still tithe, support, fellowship, or continue to do buiness with and collect donations through FCF.
