Thinker, I thank you for your "resonance" or own interest in this field...it's a pretty big subject & I couldn't say I am very learned in it, but I'd contribute what I collected/have known so far...but it'd have to be postponed a bit, as I am leaving tomorrow for a week-long vacation-trip...but I won't forget & keep at it...am thankful, that there is a "sympathetic/understanding/interested" soul....after the war I think Germans fell into this collecive "denial" of the war & it's tortures...not everybody had witnessed the concentration-camps firsthand...& I guess everybody was shocked about the picures or news-films...but I think many were concerned just to enjoy freedom & democracy & the building up of the country...starting literally from ruins & I guess a lot got suppressed first...long story...
The rise of Hitler is quite something in itself & I have seen several documentaries on it...may be they ran even on BBC....recently I saw this news-clip about an exhibition of all the love letters Hitler received...incredible...sorry but have to leave you here.
