When I made the distinction between being a tithing member of TFI and accepting money from FCF, I was remembering a situation that arose in this board several years ago involving an SGA couple working in the former Soviet Union with street children. Their work had also gotten some media attention, and there were a lot of questions about their affiliations.
It turned out that they were no longer tithing to TFI but had continued to receive funding through FCF until they could transition into a different fiscal arrangement. That's a fairly natural and rational approach to take toward leaving an organization that has had total control of your life and work.
I suppose I'd like to establish the facts of the Peters' case so that a clear statement of his social responsibility can be made. It appears that he sees no problem with using FCF as a way to raise money for his NGO. I guess he needs to learn a few lessons about playing the international aid game, doesn't he?
