I smell out my own kind too.
It's a free world. LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED, peace, and FOUCAULT are all concepts of freedom that ideologues tend to gather around.
Whether you BELIEVE in God and Jesus with your loins, or metaphors with your mind -- you are a BELIEVER. Peter and LeMattery are each TRUE BELIEVERS in their own way.
I, for one, want to honor belief, it is needed in the world.
But for me personally, I have to be honest, I now look at creeds as a disease of the intellect, and prayers are often -- not always -- a disease of the willpower. Because prayer gives you a READY MADE excuse if things go wrong, or even if they go right.

Anyway, by now things have changed and we have moved on from the circumstances of that original email exchange between Peter and LeMattery -- but for BELIEVERS and IDEOLOGUES things always remain the same in perspective and shape -- as everything is formed in their mind to fit into the archetcheture of their metaphorical or belief system.
Nature is the supreme power in the universe -- consider her ways and be wise.
