Peter validates Jim's "leadership" of the online exer community by contacting him. Peter can also dismiss us this way through an email. After all, Jim did a lot of sabre rattling with his posts on the FBI investigation, and he is now among the most visible of exers online and in the media. Therefore, he must be our leader. It is incomprehensible to Peter that exers could have a cohesive and coherant set of complaints without someone to lead them in what to say and think. As in, the FBI invistigation was going on long before Jim got involved and promoted it. As in, putting together a case for a civil suit has been going on for quite a while--long before it was announced at MO.
