Very interesting. Achiek is fantastic. This subject is infinite, but here's an hors de vor on just one aspect.
As young vibrant people whether we joined the cult or not, life was pulsing in our veins, we were alive and the privilege of youth is optimism.
The cult cannot lay claim to any of my happy human memories--unless they come clean, fess up and take the responsibility for every evil, problem, and horror--and even then, my happiness was my own--just because the Family implicated its way into my life with cunning and guile; I still retain the rights and sanctity of my own memory.
