I think PD's analysis of 3 choices was pretty accurate, but I'm going with #3 as well. The PR people who defected in droves as PD says (and she is right. That is a fact.) started out with idealism and consciences. It may be Clare never started out with that same sense of honest idealism. If she did, she lost it along the way when she sold herself to the company. Some people are simply in too deep and if she truly arranged sharing schedules then she has to side with P&M to protect herself.
