Waking up is not only a slow process but different for each one. What is important is that at least they are not asleep anymore.
One problem I've seen is to think that we all need the same treatment to completely wake up when in fact we are so different. Gentleness works for some people while tough love is more effective on others.
My personal belief is that informative websites like this and movingon have been important catalyst. Serious conversations on important issues related to this "waking up" are more than getting to know each other and learn from each other. These exchanges are also tools for other readers to unlock their own internalizations and set them free.
