I have done counseling and it helped to some degree. Six months ago I started a memoir writing class and I started writing about my experience being fished into the Family. I ended up marrying my Fisher. This really started stirring up the memories that I had buried for so long.
Whenever I let anyone know about my association with the Family, they pull away from me. I have learned to not tell people about my being associated with the Family of Love. I think that name is ludicrous. They don't love anybody.
The recent death of Davidito/Ricky reminded me of why I left the Family. I could not take what I was seeing happening to the children. I never had any children, luckily. I walked away from my marriage and the Family over the Davidito letters.
This is my first attempt to contact anybody in the Family in over 20 years. I would like to get in touch with others. It might really help me.
