First of all, I agree with you that we should be careful about stating and restating something that appears to be true, if we don't know for sure whether it's true or not. However, your posts don't make a whole lot of sense and come across too defensive like you're trying to stop anyone from looking into these matters. That may not be your intention, but that's how you're coming across with posts filled up with statements that simply say, "stop lying." Do you see what I mean?
I also urge caution, but I'm not going to tell people to stop investigating this matter. What I would like to point out is that in respect for Ricky we should remember that Florence and Eugene Zerby are his grandparents and he loved them very much. He traveled all the way to Tuscson to visit his grandmother when she was sick. While I think exmembers have a legitimate interest in knowing whether their tithes were used as hush money to buy the Elderhaven and I think it's valid to want answers, we need to be careful not to assume guilt (i.e. that "the Zerby's have accepted huge sums of hush money"). Though they are Maria's parents they are also Ricky's grandparents and I think he'd be pretty pissed if he knew they were being assumed guilty.
Another thing is, how many sisters does Maria have? One? From what Researcher said below, one of the Zerby daughters is a co-owner of Elderhaven. Instead of assuming that she too must be guilty of accepting "hush money" from Maria, maybe we should remember that according to Anneke, Ricky loved his aunt so much and thought so highly of her that he told her that he wished SHE was his his mother.
I think exmembers have a right to ask the questions they're asking and to dig into the paperwork and try to track where the money came from, BUT instead of assuming the Zerby family guilty, I suggest that capable researchers look into things. If it turns out that Maria has funneled them large sums of money to keep them quiet, that's another whole matter.
But it hasn't been proved and for now it's simply an assumption.
