That is so sad and true. The other side of this coin is that talking about it is a way to prevent it. No matter how desparately you want to die, talk about it with others. I have lived with clinical depression and know that when that dark cloud descends, I talk about it and take action before I get to a point that I am unable to care enough to. Talking about fallout from the family like PTSD, Major Depression, Anxiety/Panic, all these things with a trusted professional and with people that have been there too can all be very helpful. The most dangerous thing when feeling suicidal is to isolate yourself and to stop talking.
