Two of my kids are currently in debt with student loans. I don't know if heavily in debt would describe it, but one university counselor told my daughter, there's no better investment than investiing in you own education, that's how he described her need to take loans.
The last 3 years we've given our kids quite a lot of financial help. But now there're all over 21, and we will probably be sending them less because of the money we're going to be putting into retirement.
