Hey Freeatlast. I was in the PI for about two years from '75 to spring of '77. The first year I spent in Manila, Baguio and on road trips. In '76, I was sent on a road trip with another guy as a form of punishment. One day I simply walked away, hitchhiked back to Manila and then made my way down to Mindinao. It was fairly dangerous down there at the time and I knew TF wasn't there. I spent 6 months in a small village near the town of Medina and another 6 months in Cagayan de Oro. It's possible that our paths crossed, but not likely.
By the way, I think you are doing the right thing by coming to this site. There is lots of good information, feedback and support here. I've discovered the hard way that the myriad of issues we need to deal with after leaving the TF don't go away simply by ignoring or denying them. For many different reasons I never dealt with my past. Now, 13 years later I've reached a point where I can't ignore it any longer and this site and the people here are a tremendous resource.
