That's what I was thinking, if the money could have been used instead to beef up national security (without creating a police state) and finding bin Ladin and other cells.
Or if someone had had the brains to focus on the Israel/Palestinian situation and defuse the cause of so much of this strife. But of course, they didn't and they won't and now we live with the results.
Neither am I gleefully looking forward to the rise of the Antichrist to "solve the situation and set up his capitol in Jerusalem." I think we'll go on living in a complicated political situation for some time.
