Absolutely, that fear was always present and was a great blackmailing tool. I was so careful not to rock the boat while i was planning my escape (mind you I didn't do a very good job of it) because I knew that my kids could be whipped away at any time.
Another thing that I really want to say is, I hope no one thinks that I think i'm better for getting out sooner than some. I was just one of th lucky ones and I don't consider that I was smarter or anything - JUST LUCKIER. I had a bad marriage in the Family and no one was willing to help me - that was one of the catalysts that made me leave. I easily could have stayed so I know 'there but for the grace of god go I'. The main thing is that now you are out.
