I believe Berg had a pre-meditated intention of separating parents from kids, separating couples etc. with the idea of creating a more highly controlled and programed group in the SG. This social experiment seems to have failed and caused great damage. I had my one year old taken away from me and sent to another country and this was in the early 70's. I cried and begged to be able to go with him to the "school". But there was the threat that he could disappear altogether and I might not ever see him again should I "rebel", and a "hope" that at sometime in the future if I was doing real good I might be allowed to work in a school. The trauma was not just to the kids but also to the parents.
