These are my credentials: PhD (Social Work), MSW, LISW, CCDC-III.
I don't do psychodynamic therapy, i.e., "couch work," and had little interest in it as a clinical practitioner. When I was in direct practice, I did crisis intervention with the seriously and persistently mentally ill, solution-focused family therapy on an adolescent psych unit, therapeutic foster care case management at a residential treatment center for adolescent girls, and AOD counseling.
Now I do research on children's mental health services and similar stuff. My dissertation was on child sexual abuse (CSA). I got most of my experience working with CSA survivors at the residential treatment center where I did therapeutic foster care case management.
