Thank you for your kind words about me but I have to confess I had a little advantage to start with, that might be the reason why the brainwashing didn't last that long (being a believer, I actually attribute it to God).
It was still hard for us when we left with two small children. It took me several years to figure out the market place and what to do, and I went for it. Although my original background is in engineering and the physical sciences my current work is in a totally different area (which, I have to say, stemmed from my experience in TF).
I wholeheartedly agree with you that education plays a big role in freeing up one's mind to the endless possibilities of the future. Controlling regimes, not just limited to cults, are keenly interested in limiting access to information and education. That is why this site and others that disseminate information on cults, are so important and deserve our support.
