Getting an education any way you can

I was just reading the highly-intelligent posts by Anovagrl, Miguel & others on Journeys & thinking that it's great these folks got an education after they left the Family. There's so much important information out there that we were deprived of -- in fact, forbidden to learn.

I felt so intellectually robbed after I left the Family. We were given the same old drivel over and over again in the MLs & Berg would limit us from learning outside info, then tell us, "I taught you kids everything you know." Well, yeeaaaah, it was all we were ALLOWED to know.

My hat's off to anyone who managed to go back to school or even were self-taught after they left the Family.
