You got this right. I knew someone in connection with the whole offense. They were working with the government and did NOT like what was happening there. First, there were reporters hovering around the site BEFORE the ATF even attacked. This was extremely poor judgement on who ever organized this disaster, to attack people they knew to be well armed.
Also when they were killed, it was known who was where when the stairwell was knocked out and also it was known that they were using Kerosene lamps and had stacks of hay inside. Not to mention that the day they hit the bldg with the tanks was the windiest day of the year and so therefore it would make a fire extremely lethal. Also the playing of the sounds of animals dying for psychological warfare would just reinforce the cult perspective that the devil was attacking them. This would just strenghten the resolve of the leadership there, and make it impossible for others to get out. The whole incident was a travesty of justice. Koresh was a bonafide psycho in my book, but those kids and most of those adults that were under the influence did not deserve a death penalty.
