Interesting but unlikely. I doubt if the Family would ever be foolish enough to admit they were the Family when adopting a child. They have such a bad rep they'd never get away with it.
But if you're right & that's what they're trying to do & the poor adopted kid is simply being used as a pawn to gain the Family legitimacy, that'd really suck.
