I understand that in no way you are defending your criminal aunt, and that your only concern is for your grandparents. On this I agree. Yes, there have been over the years a few discussions about contacting Karen's parents, etc. but every time that discussion has come up, cooler heads have managed to convince people that Karen's parents are not to be held liable for the criminal actions of their daughter. So I think you can rest easy on that point. This is a non-issue so far as I can see.
However, you would do well to go over to Movingon.org and read the testimonials of lives who were under the terrible dictatorship of your aunt. No want wants to give you personally any crap, and I would frankly advise you not to make that offer. You simply do not want to be the focus for the kind of legitimate anger (read: legitimate anger) that is directed against that twisted woman.
You concern for your grandparents is duly noted and we are in agreement. But about your aunt, don't stand in front of the fan when the entire trainload of shit derails.
By the way, now that you're here, can you answer a few questions? We are all so curious.
