Thanks for your comments, Thinker and Donny. I think that many people find this site, often yrs. after exiting the group. In this case, it is a real awakening to see the divisions that exist in the exer community. It is understandable, given the continuation of the family's downward spiral into insanity and molestation, oppression etc.
I do believe that as exers, we are all people who deserve recovery from that past. As to what is appropriate to say in the exer community, I don't regret anything I have said. But I do realize that for a time I had "tunnel vision" if you will, where I took every comment far too personally.
I just think we all, who have survived the group and started our own lives, deserve all the support that we can get.
I would like to see all current members out from under that oppression, and the leaders (M & P) exposed and prosecuted.
At the same time, it has been helpful for me to start getting involved in endeavors that bring me closer to people outside of the exer community. I think we are a lot lie the survivors of the plane crash in the movie "Fearless" (stars Jeff Bridges and Rosie Perez). Anyone else here watch that movie? If not, it is well worth the rent. :)
