Sure there are things to stand for. Due process...the possibility of not being cannibalized by people waving flags and attempting to delete the word French and throwing gallons of French wine down the drain. That is VERY UNAmerican. The possibility to keep thinking in difficult times and not feel pressured by a so called majority that does not even remember what happened in recent history.
This is not just about oil, it is much bigger than that. Much bigger. This is about empire, new
expansionistic military assertion of the only superpower left. It is about many things, some of which we do not even know, the least of which is 'freedom' for the Iraqis.
(Remember what happened to the Kurds in 1991 and how they were first used and deluded and then dropped?)
