First of all, Saddam's oil has been blocked by the UN through sanctions for years, then only he was able to use it in a food for oil program, so the U.S. doesn't even depend on his oil. AND, even if they do end up controlling it, I'd rather have the U.S. controlling it and making THEIR OWN Country better for it than a despot who gasses his people and uses the money to support terrorism or to pay off suicide bombers families so they can terrorize innocent Israelis in their shopping centers. However, in the world of leftist ideology, there is no black and white and it is all grey so that there is nothing to take a stand for, such as the illustration of the cannibal and the general.
