It's a basic premise of the Christian life Paul speaks of that the family life and other responsibilities are properly cared for, in God's sovereign ordination. We need to live an orderly life, living responsibly toward our spouse, our children, our fellow-workers,,etc. Without this, the life is called into question. This is the testimony of Christ in our humanity. His humanity is a fine, excellent, genuinely human expression.
I don't think a life devoted to God is exclusive of a proper humanity.
