In that the sub sets the limits and both go into the relationship with the understanding of their positions. That is a pretty big difference. This is progressive alteration and there are comparisons, but more along the line of "Kiss The Girls" movie. Berg didn't present as a member of the leather society. And the subs didn't realize what they would be getting into. No, we weren't taken by force, but there were controls set in place where God, a figure much more imposing than a dom, who sees everything you do and knows your every thought loves you but can punish you if you move away by squashing you like a little bug, or killing those you love. Wouldn't you say that is a different kind of subservience? There is no code word to indicate when a member feels like Berg or God has gone/is going too far.
