It's true - our friends in Greece are very important to me. They were all catacombers (about 8 of them) who joined in our home, so I always felt kind of like they were my kids. It was the best home I ever lived in. I miss them very much. And although we talk with them about visiting some day, it will probably never happen. And I guess the thing I am probably broken-hearted about is knowing how adversely their lives were affected by joining the Family and feeling somewhat responsible for that. They were teenagers - I was 30. They are all still friends to this day and see each other all the time. I think that is so nice.
I do think you are right. I work very hard at my job and go above what is expected many times over. I know that my supervisors are very pleased with my work. But I always have that feeling that I am not quite good enough. Darn! Hard to get over that feeling. :-)
