Yes, I did make new friends, too. I told a few that I was in a cult, after having known them for some time--none of them really cared about it. Most people can't relate too well.
So far no one has called me weird and I get along well with my collegues. But inside is still 'the great confusion' sometimes. Thanks for taking time to reply, it always helps greatly knowing others feel the same.
