the children belonged to the family, and blood relations meant nothing. The born in the family children were supposed to be the comparison to Hitlers Youth with the creation of schools and camps to send them off to. Separation from my kids started early in life (when my oldest was one) he was sent to a school in Denmark while i was in Sweden. Leadership made no bones about it that the consequence of not agreeing was to lose them altogether. I eventually was allowed to go to Denmark (Arhus) school and be where they were ( my second was a baby and I was pg.)But when there, I had to look after other peoples kids but the leaders got to look after their own daughter. I heard my oldest being spanked when he was screaming because he wanted to come to me, and the official school teacher telling him that I was not their mother, they were his parents in the Lord. To have fought this would have meant I would be sent to the road without any of them. Which did eventually happen. Then after not agreeing to be the childcare worker for Scandinavian leaders kid, leaving my own in another country (now in Finland)and because I challenged the fact that I had been promised when sent off that I would be with my kids after a few weeks, which turned to month or so.. I was dealt with by being sent to a "selah" problem-parent home in Sorunda Sweden where the leaders there dealt with us harshly and in very humiliating ways. There was even a blooper chart for us adults and a trip to the zoo where we problem parents heard leadership saying as they were provisioning tickets that they were overseeing a home for problem parents. We were often sent out hitchhiking with a kid or two to go litness during the day in towns not so near. Now that was real concern for our safety! I remember being in one town that was so small, and being sent there daily until the people had seen and heard it all. We couldnt sell lit and went to one persons house and witnessed, just knowing we weren't doing gods will and would face more punishment upon return. Then a lady gave us fare for a taxi because she saw us hitchhiking home. And she gave us some money. So we had our quota. But at first we thought she was flagging us down to report us. She was just a very kind "systemite" who didn't want to see the kids and us young adults hitchhiking. Boy those systemites! And this is just a slice of the crap and this occurred in the 70s. Way before Victor camps.
