Well, I was just 30 with kids when I left. And yes, I do know how hard it is, especially with no family resources or skills and not enough education. I had no drivers license, bank account, nothing. But I can imagine the difficulties and needs people have getting out at older ages. I had a life with good jobs and benefits after some years, but did it all on my own. But not without great loss and hardship. Now, I am on Medicare and not working. It is the result of not having the time or place or structure to deal with the neglected physical, emotional and social skills problems when I left the family. The only support out there that I found when I left was Cult Awareness Network (before Scientology took over) and they mostly gathered info and referred people who could pay for services. They had meetings, but mostly discussing Scientology, themselves or raising funds, incl. from ex-members. (Who were already strapped themselves). So I think all of our ideas are good, and designed to be helpful. If someone wants to deal with a certain population, i.e. youth only, that is good too. All and any help is great, imo Nothing wrong with preferences. I just think there is no such thing as "especially" with any one group needing help more than another when it comes down to no resources or family to help people that want to get out and need and want support.
