I'm not quite sure w hat you are referring to. I'll have to go back and see what I've said. I have a problem of saying things and eating my words later. Right now I'm in a crisis situation with the 15 yr old who is wearing out her welcome with the lady where she is staying. I'm not thinking very well.
Yes, there are plenty of people who have turned their lives around as late as 50 yrs or more. Sometimes I think it's harder with F. people though because of the alterior lifestyle, they simply do not know how to live a secular life. Then there is age discrimination in job applying and not having any job skills to speak of. I've seen some families end up living in trailer parks and traveling from park to park, never having a real home or stable situation. It's hard for them. Even River Phoenix's parents were not able to care for their large family. It was River's idea to go to Hollywood and market their singing skills. He was really the parent in the family.
I guess I've just seen too many bad situations and I feel reticent right now.
There is a program in most colleges too for older people returning to school. You get a lot of perks if you are older and go to college. I did. Of course it is possible.
I just remember how incredibly hard it was for us in our late 30s and having 8 children and no job skills. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy (oh, maybe I would on Gary).
