And most people that joined were not psychopaths, but manipulated and damaged by them. And I agree that once we are out, we can begin to get all the "its" related to the cult out of us! One thing that was also imbedded was to not trust the system (anyone not in the family), doctors and professionals. I remember praying the "kill me" prayer. How f'ed up is that? But I also believe when current members come here and read the real thoughts and problems we had during and after the family, most will relate. So while it helps us it could help others, too.
