I said earlier that it wasn't the hardships and privations I minded. But you described some pretty awful stuff and it wasn't just the exception, but commonplace. And it was together with breaking people down emotionally and mentally, like you said, making you feel like shit. Thanks for sharing all this.
Does anyone else have stories that add to this, give a different slant, etc?
I think besides the glowing stories of out witnessing and winning hippies we also need to look at the daily lifestyle we lived in and what it was really like. I'm getting the impression here that the crappy stuff was all there from the beginning, just wasn't all let out back then in the good old days. Or maybe it was let out, only in different ways.
