Remedy for what? For nausea, or for AIDS, For certain aspects of discomfort regarding Glaucoma, or as a glaucoma remedy? I think I stated my thoughts clearly?
Alcohol has a more serious withdrawal syndrome than heroin. Pot does not have a significant physical withdrawal, but a psychological one. Of course, in these cases we are talking about abuse. I have seen pot used socially. And alcohol used socially. When it comes to addictions, that is a whole 'nother ball game. As far as a whole month for any pot to leave your brain cells? Where did you come up with that. It can take pot a month to clear out of your system as far as detection goes. But someone doesn't smoke a joint and then keep it all in their brain cells. Also, people who truly use pot for medicinal purposes are not using it as an addict. I described ways it is useful. As far as for pleasure, alcohol is far more dangerous when taken in excess. The biggest problem with pot is that it is not legal everywhere and therefore, people never know what may be in it. This is why I think it is good that it is legal for medicinal purposes in some places, and wish it were nationwide. (Medicinally, it is legal in California, by prescription I believe, last I heard...) Everyone reacts differently to different drugs. I was given Demerol for pain after surgery one time. It made me hyper, stone cold sober and I couldn't quit talking. Other people it makes sleepy, woozie,drugged. I also can't tolerate codeine. Luckily I manage physical pain with Ibuprofen in most cases. But I was sure glad the Morphine was there after a major surgery. And glad they took it away before I was ready for it to be gone!! Are you familiar with The Netherlands and their policies on drugs?
