Personally after my own experience with 'pot' I don't agree that it is less harmful the alcohol(alcohol in moderation is acceptable, 'pot' is not something that can be done moderately as once you have started you need more for the buzz. Socially doing pot is not usually where it stops. It takes one month for any pot to leave your brain cells, whereas with alcohol it is gone within days, this of course is not speaking of abuse of either)
I have to wonder why if it is such a great thing for the sick, why the government doesn't put it on the market and make money off of it. My personal theory is that it is not safe, and lawsuits would follow, otherwise I don't think the government would shy away from it at all.
