You are in a hard position. It reminds me of dealing with an addiction. If your own family is involved, it is so very hard to do and goes against the grain of all maternal instincts. Then it comes down to looking at what the addiction is wreaking in others lives and how powerless those under the influence are, barring an intervention which is generally unwanted by the addicted. I wish you well in all your decisions. It has to be tough!
