A very observant and insightful post. Thanks for taking the time to put your thoughts on this board.
It's unbelievable that an organization that secretive and hypocritical and with so much criminal activity to hide has the gall to challenge this board. But that's all they can do after all. They're all talk and only end up in court with lawyers when they simply can't get out of it.
I mean picture these guys. Karen Zerby and Steve Kelly (no longer their legal names) have changed their names more than once like snakes that keep shedding their skins. Does the general public know what the legal names are of the leadership of the Family? Do even Family members know? We're talking about people who've been in the group for 20, 25, 30 years! They still have no idea where their tithe money goes or who their leaders are or where they are.
Does the general public know that Steve Kelly and Karen Zerby are probably in Portugal, hiding out? Does the Family know?
I have sympathy for rank and file members of the Family, but none for the criminals running the group.
