Going from the frying pan into the fire. I've thought about this too. I've seen some exmembers leave the F. only to resort to some other controlling or idiotic religious group - still unable to think on their own. I think it's an addiction and something that you have to realize you have to break the cycle. It's like a dependence on having someone hear from God for you or shepherd you, or something. I even think that the Pentecostal idea of "feeling" the spirit is no different then the Hari Krishna or Hindu getting into a trance and it becomes an addiction. I don't think God works this way.
