Speaking of eating out... fast food, which is ultra popular with the young has really gotten expensive.
I remember when McDonnald's had a commercial where a Dad and his kid walked up and ordered, and the slogan was "Change back from your dollar".
A couple of days ago I went through the drive-thru and ordered fries and a coke, and it was over $3.00! One bag of fries and one small coke!
I was talking to my 17 year old daughter, Erin about this topic this afternoon. She really wants to get out on her own. I was talking to her about the price of food, and what she thought she needed on the average to eat for a day. The first thing she mentioned was no more fast food. That she almost never eats breakfast anyway, and usually only has one full meal a day. Then she got kind of upset even thinking about the whole thing, so we changed the subject.
