donny, if you read my post carefully, i do not suggest any of those things. if you feel satisfied w/ your relationship to your past and find your current practices helpful, i am not passing judgment on you. i'm not always mr. mellow, (as my wife and kids can attest!) but now that you mention it, a beer does sound kinda nice.
i have read several places where leaving a cult can be compared to the stages of grief. when we went thru the loss of our daughter a few years ago i came to see that everyone grieves differently, and in fact, there is a part of you that will always grieve . last thing anyone needs is someone who hasn't walked that road telling them to get over it. but i did find it comforting reading the stories of healing written by those who had been there, and the insights that helped them in the journey. can you hear what i'm saying?
